Prescription drug
Manufacturer / Marketer : STADMED PVT
About: Alkasol Syrup 200ml is the larger pack of a urinary alkaliser containing disodium hydrogen citrate, indicated for relief of burning micturition and for prevention and treatment support of uric acid and some other urinary stones.
Usage Instructions: Take the prescribed dose diluted in water, usually 2–3 times a day after meals or as directed by your doctor.
Benefits: Helps reduce urine acidity, relieves discomfort during urination and assists in reducing the risk of stone formation when used along with adequate hydration.
How it Works: Disodium hydrogen citrate metabolises to bicarbonate, increasing urinary pH and alkalising the urine, which reduces irritation to the urinary tract.
Side Effects: May cause mild gastrointestinal upset or diarrhoea; long-term overuse can contribute to electrolyte imbalance in susceptible patients.
Safety Advice: Use under medical guidance in patients with kidney or heart disease or those on salt-restricted diets; do not exceed recommended dosage and seek advice in pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct heat and sunlight; keep the bottle tightly capped and away from children.
