Aloja M 12.5/500mg Tablet 10's

Prescription drug
Manufacturer / Marketer : INDOCO CND
About: Aloja M 12.5/500mg Tablet 10's is a combination antidiabetic medicine containing alogliptin and metformin, used in adults with type 2 diabetes when single-drug therapy is insufficient.
Usage Instructions: Take the tablet with meals to reduce stomach upset, usually once or twice daily as prescribed; swallow whole with water and do not crush or chew.
Benefits: Helps lower and stabilise blood sugar levels more effectively than either medicine alone and may reduce the risk of long-term diabetes complications when used with diet and exercise.
How it Works: Alogliptin improves insulin secretion and reduces glucagon via DPP-4 inhibition, while metformin decreases hepatic glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity in peripheral tissues.
Side Effects: Common side effects include nausea, diarrhoea, stomach pain, headache and upper respiratory symptoms; metformin may rarely cause lactic acidosis, and alogliptin may rarely cause pancreatitis or severe hypersensitivity.
Safety Advice: Use strictly under medical guidance; not suitable for type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis; caution in renal or hepatic impairment, dehydration, acute illness or before contrast procedures, and avoid alcohol excess.
Storage: Store at room temperature below 25°C, protected from moisture and direct light; keep blister strips away from children.
