Amlodac AT Tablet 15's
Prescription drug
About: Amlodac AT Tablet 15's is a fixed-dose antihypertensive combination containing amlodipine and atenolol, used for the treatment of high blood pressure and angina as prescribed by a cardiologist or physician.
Usage Instructions: Take the tablet once daily at the same time with water, with or without food, exactly as directed by your doctor; do not stop treatment suddenly.
Benefits: Helps lower blood pressure, control heart rate, reduce chest pain episodes and decrease the risk of heart attack and stroke when used long term with lifestyle measures.
How it Works: Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker, relaxes and widens blood vessels to reduce vascular resistance, while atenolol, a beta-blocker, slows the heart rate and decreases the force of contraction, together reducing blood pressure and cardiac workload.
Side Effects: Common side effects include dizziness, tiredness, slow heart rate, ankle swelling, cold extremities or stomach upset; rare but serious events such as severe bradycardia or hypotension require urgent medical attention.
Safety Advice: Use only under medical supervision; caution in asthma, heart block, heart failure, peripheral vascular disease or liver impairment; avoid abrupt withdrawal and discuss use during pregnancy or breastfeeding with your doctor.
Storage: Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture; keep blister strips out of reach of children.
