About: Amlovas M 5/50 Tablet 10's is a combination antihypertensive medicine containing amlodipine and metoprolol, used in patients requiring dual therapy for blood pressure or angina control.
Usage Instructions: Take the tablet once daily or as instructed, with water, preferably at the same time each day; do not crush or chew.
Benefits: Helps achieve better blood pressure control and reduces chest pain episodes by combining vasodilation with heart rate reduction.
How it Works: Amlodipine relaxes and widens blood vessels by calcium channel blockade, while metoprolol, a beta-blocker, slows heart rate and decreases the force of contraction, collectively reducing blood pressure and cardiac workload.
Side Effects: Dizziness, fatigue, slow pulse, ankle swelling, headache or nausea may occur; severe bradycardia, hypotension or breathing problems need medical attention.
Safety Advice: Use under medical supervision with caution in asthma, heart block, heart failure, diabetes or hepatic dysfunction; avoid abrupt discontinuation and limit alcohol consumption.
Storage: Store below 25°C in a dry place protected from light; keep blister strips away from children.
