About: Cor 9 500mg/2ml Injection contains Hydroxyprogesterone Caproate, a synthetic progestin used to prevent preterm birth in high-risk pregnancies.Usage Instructions: Administered by deep IM injection by healthcare professional. Typically 250mg (1ml) weekly starting at 16-20 weeks gestation until 36 weeks.Benefits: Reduces risk of preterm delivery in women with prior spontaneous preterm birth, supports pregnancy maintenance, prevents miscarriage.How it Works: Hydroxyprogesterone maintains uterine quiescence, reduces uterine contractility, modulates immune response, supports decidualization.Side Effects: Injection site reactions, urticaria, pruritus, rash, nausea, diarrhea, jaundice (cholestatic), rare: anaphylaxis, thromboembolism.Safety Advice: Contraindicated in undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, breast cancer, liver disease, thromboembolic disorders.
