AboutEmvibe 25 Tablet contains Empagliflozin 25mg, an SGLT2 inhibitor used to improve blood sugar control in type 2 diabetes and reduce risk of heart failure hospitalization and cardiovascular death.Usage Instructions: Take once daily in the morning, with or without food. Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew. Take consistently at the same time daily. Continue even if feeling well. Maintain adequate hydration.Benefits: Improves glycemic control in type 2 diabetes, lowers HbA1c by 0.7-1%, promotes weight loss, reduces blood pressure, provides cardiovascular protection (reduces heart failure hospitalization and cardiovascular death), provides renal protection (slows progression of chronic kidney disease), low risk of hypoglycemia when used alone. How it Works: Empagliflozin inhibits sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 (SGLT-2) in renal proximal tubules, blocking glucose reabsorption and promoting urinary glucose excretion (independent of insulin). This lowers blood glucose, promotes calorie loss (weight loss), and provides osmotic diuresis (blood pressure reduction). Also reduces cardiac preload and afterload, providing heart failure benefits.Side Effects: Common: genital mycotic infections (more common in women), urinary tract infections, increased urination, thirst, back pain, nausea. Serious: ketoacidosis (even with normal blood sugar), severe dehydration and hypotension, acute kidney injury, Fournier's gangrene (rare but serious), severe allergic reactions, bone fractures.Safety Advice: Monitor blood glucose and kidney function regularly. Maintain adequate hydration, especially in elderly or on diuretics. Recognize symptoms of ketoacidosis (nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, fatigue, breathing difficulties) even with normal blood sugar. Temporarily discontinue before surgery, prolonged fasting, or acute illness. Use caution in kidney disease. Not for type 1 diabetes or DKA. Inform doctor of genital infections, dehydration, or unusual fatigue. Practice good genital hygiene to reduce infection risk.Storage: Store below 25°C in a dry place. Protect from light and moisture. Keep in original packaging. Keep out of reach of children.
