AboutEtotroy 60 Tablet contains Etoricoxib 60mg, a selective COX-2 inhibitor used to relieve pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and acute gout.Usage Instructions: Take once daily with or without food, or as directed by your doctor. Swallow whole with water. Use lowest effective dose for shortest duration. For acute gout: take only during painful attack (max 8 days). Continue for chronic conditions as prescribed.Benefits: Relieves pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and acute gouty arthritis. Improves joint mobility and function, reduces swelling and stiffness, provides 24-hour pain relief with once-daily dosing, lower GI risk compared to non-selective NSAIDs.How it Works: Etoricoxib selectively inhibits cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzyme, reducing production of prostaglandins (inflammatory mediators) at sites of inflammation. Does not significantly inhibit COX-1 (protects stomach lining), resulting in better GI tolerability. Provides potent anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects.Side Effects: Common: headache, dizziness, nausea, diarrhea, indigestion, swelling of legs/feet, fatigue, palpitations. Serious: cardiovascular events (heart attack, stroke), hypertension, heart failure, GI ulcers/bleeding (lower risk than non-selective NSAIDs), liver toxicity, kidney impairment, severe skin reactions.Safety Advice: Contraindicated in ischemic heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, peripheral arterial disease, uncontrolled hypertension, severe heart failure, or active peptic ulcer. Use caution in elderly, diabetes, hypertension, or cardiovascular risk factors. Monitor blood pressure regularly. Avoid in pregnancy.
