AboutEtotroy 90 Tablet contains Etoricoxib 90mg, a selective COX-2 inhibitor used to relieve pain and inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and acute gouty arthritis.Usage Instructions: Take once daily with or without food, or as directed by your doctor. Swallow whole with water. For rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis: 90mg once daily. For osteoarthritis: start with 60mg, may increase to 90mg if needed. For acute gout: 120mg once daily (max 8 days). Use lowest effective dose.Benefits: Highly effective in reducing pain and inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and acute gout. Improves physical function and mobility, reduces joint swelling and stiffness, provides 24-hour relief with once-daily dosing, better GI tolerability than non-selective NSAIDs.How it Works: Etoricoxib selectively blocks COX-2 enzyme, inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis at inflammatory sites. Minimal effect on COX-1 (which protects gastric mucosa), resulting in reduced GI side effects. Potent anti-inflammatory and analgesic action through prostaglandin pathway inhibition.Side Effects: Common: headache, dizziness, palpitations, edema (leg swelling), hypertension, nausea, diarrhea, dyspepsia, fatigue. Serious: increased risk of cardiovascular thrombotic events (MI, stroke), heart failure, GI bleeding/ulceration (lower risk than non-selective NSAIDs), hepatotoxicity, renal impairment, severe cutaneous reactions (SJS/TEN).Safety Advice: Contraindicated in established ischemic heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, peripheral arterial disease, uncontrolled hypertension, severe heart failure, active peptic ulcer, or inflammatory bowel disease. Assess cardiovascular risk before use. Monitor BP, renal function, and for signs of GI bleeding. Avoid in pregnancy. Use lowest dose for shortest duration. Inform doctor of chest pain, shortness of breath, leg swelling, black stools, or jaundice.Storage: Store below 25°C in a dry place. Protect from light and moisture. Keep in original packaging.
