AboutEtotroy MR Tablet contains Etoricoxib in modified-release formulation, a selective COX-2 inhibitor used for sustained relief of pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis.Usage Instructions: Take once daily with or without food, or as directed by your doctor. Swallow whole with water; do not crush, chew, or split (modified release). Take at the same time daily for consistent blood levels. Use lowest effective dose for shortest duration.Benefits: Provides sustained 24-hour pain and inflammation relief, improves compliance with once-daily dosing, effective in osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, reduces morning stiffness and improves mobility, better GI tolerability than non-selective NSAIDs, consistent therapeutic levels throughout the day.How it Works: Etoricoxib selectively inhibits COX-2 enzyme, reducing prostaglandin production at inflammatory sites. Provides potent anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects with improved tolerability.Side Effects: Common: headache, dizziness, palpitations, peripheral edema, hypertension, nausea, diarrhea, dyspepsia, fatigue. Serious: cardiovascular thrombotic events (MI, stroke), heart failure, GI bleeding/ulceration, hepatotoxicity, renal impairment, severe skin reactions, hypersensitivity.Safety Advice: Contraindicated in ischemic heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, peripheral arterial disease, uncontrolled hypertension, severe heart failure, active peptic ulcer, or IBD. Assess CV risk before prescribing. Monitor BP, renal function, and for GI bleeding signs. Avoid in pregnancy. Do not crush or chew MR tablets. Use lowest dose for shortest duration. Report chest pain, dyspnea, leg swelling, black stools, or jaundice.Storage: Store below 25°C in a dry place. Protect from light and moisture. Keep in original packaging. Keep out of reach of children. Do not remove from blister until ready to use.
