AboutFenatom SP Tablet is a combination of Fenofibrate and Atorvastatin used to manage high cholesterol, high triglycerides, and reduce cardiovascular risk in patients with mixed dyslipidemia.Usage Instructions: Take once daily with the main meal, or as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow whole with water. Do not crush or chew. Take consistently at the same time daily. Continue lipid-lowering diet and exercise regimen.Benefits: Reduces elevated total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, triglycerides, and Apo B. Increases HDL cholesterol. Treats mixed dyslipidemia and hypertriglyceridemia. Reduces cardiovascular risk, prevents heart attack and stroke, manages lipid levels in type 2 diabetes.How it Works: Atorvastatin inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, reducing cholesterol synthesis in liver and increasing LDL receptor expression. Fenofibrate activates PPAR-alpha, increasing lipoprotein lipase activity, reducing triglyceride-rich particles, and increasing HDL production.Side Effects: Common: muscle pain, weakness, headache, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, elevated liver enzymes. Serious: rhabdomyolysis (severe muscle breakdown), liver damage, pancreatitis, gallstones, kidney problems, severe allergic reactions, increased blood sugar.Safety Advice: Monitor liver function and muscle enzymes (CK) regularly. Report unexplained muscle pain, weakness, dark urine, or yellowing of eyes immediately. Avoid grapefruit juice and excessive alcohol. Use caution in kidney disease, diabetes, or thyroid disorders.
