AboutGemiclop 75 Tablet contains Clopidogrel 75mg, an antiplatelet agent used to prevent blood clots in patients with cardiovascular disease, recent heart attack, stroke, or peripheral arterial disease.Usage Instructions: Take once daily at the same time, with or without food. Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew. Continue even if feeling well. Do not stop suddenly without medical advice (increased clot risk). Take consistently at the same time daily.Benefits: Prevents blood clot formation in arteries, reduces risk of heart attack, stroke, and cardiovascular death, prevents stent thrombosis after coronary stenting, manages acute coronary syndrome (with aspirin), treats peripheral arterial disease, reduces risk of recurrent cardiovascular events, provides long-term cardiovascular protection.How it Works: Clopidogrel is a prodrug irreversibly converted to active metabolite by hepatic CYP2C19. Active metabolite irreversibly blocks P2Y12 ADP receptors on platelets, inhibiting platelet activation and aggregation. Prevents thrombus formation on ruptured atherosclerotic plaques. Effect lasts for platelet lifespan (7-10 days).Side Effects: Common: bleeding (nosebleeds, gum bleeding, easy bruising), headache, dizziness, diarrhea, abdominal pain, indigestion, rash. Serious: major bleeding (GI, intracranial, retroperitoneal), thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP), severe neutropenia/agranulocytosis, severe allergic reactions, liver dysfunction.Safety Advice: Increased bleeding risk; avoid activities with injury risk. Inform all healthcare providers and dentists you are on antiplatelet. Do not stop suddenly (increased thrombotic risk, especially after stenting). Use caution in bleeding disorders, recent surgery, or liver disease. Avoid concomitant use of omeprazole/esomeprazole (reduces efficacy). Report unusual bleeding, black stools, severe headache, weakness, or fever immediately. Not for use in active bleeding. Carry medical alert card.Storage: Store below 25°C in a dry place.
