AboutGemidipine M 25 Tablet is a combination of Cilnidipine 10mg and Metoprolol Succinate 25mg used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and provide comprehensive cardiovascular protection.Usage Instructions: Take once daily at the same time, with or without food. Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew (extended release). Continue even if feeling well. Do not stop suddenly (risk of rebound hypertension/angina). Take consistently at the same time daily.Benefits: Effectively lowers high blood pressure with dual mechanism, reduces risk of stroke, heart attack, and cardiovascular events, provides better BP control than monotherapy, reduces heart rate and myocardial oxygen demand (metoprolol), provides renal protection (cilnidipine), suitable for patients with hypertension and coronary artery disease, improves compliance with single-pill combination. How it Works: Cilnidipine blocks L-type and N-type calcium channels, causing vasodilation and reducing sympathetic tone. Metoprolol is a beta-1 selective blocker that reduces heart rate, contractility, and cardiac output. Together they provide synergistic blood pressure reduction, reduce cardiac workload, improve myocardial oxygen supply-demand balance, and provide comprehensive cardiovascular protection.Side Effects: Common: dizziness, headache, fatigue, bradycardia (slow heart rate), peripheral edema, cold extremities, constipation, nausea. Serious: severe hypotension, severe bradycardia, heart block, worsening heart failure, bronchospasm (in asthmatics), severe allergic reactions.Safety Advice: Contraindicated in severe bradycardia, heart block, decompensated heart failure, hypotension, severe asthma/COPD, or sick sinus syndrome. Use caution in diabetes (may mask hypoglycemia symptoms), peripheral vascular disease, liver disease, or thyroid disorders. Monitor heart rate, blood pressure, and for signs of heart failure. Do not discontinue abruptly (taper beta blocker). Grapefruit juice may increase cilnidipine levels. Inform doctor of dizziness, fainting, shortness of breath, or wheezing.Storage: Store below 25°C in a dry place. Protect from light and moisture. Keep in original packaging. Keep out of reach of children. Do not remove from blister until ready to use.
