AboutGemidipine TCH 12.5 Tablet is a triple combination of Cilnidipine 10mg, Telmisartan 40mg, and Chlorthalidone 12.5mg used to treat resistant hypertension and provide comprehensive cardiovascular and renal protection.Usage Instructions: Take once daily at the same time, with or without food. Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew. Continue even if feeling well. Do not stop suddenly without medical advice. Take consistently at the same time daily.Benefits: Provides powerful blood pressure control with triple mechanism, effective in resistant hypertension uncontrolled by dual therapy, reduces risk of stroke, heart attack, and cardiovascular death, provides renal protection and reduces proteinuria (cilnidipine + telmisartan), reduces fluid retention (chlorthalidone), provides 24-hour BP control, suitable for patients with diabetes, chronic kidney disease, or high cardiovascular risk. How it Works: Cilnidipine blocks L-type and N-type calcium channels, causing vasodilation and reducing sympathetic tone. Telmisartan blocks angiotensin II receptors (ARB), causing vasodilation and reducing aldosterone secretion. Chlorthalidone is a thiazide-like diuretic that increases sodium and water excretion, reducing plasma volume and peripheral resistance. Triple action addresses vasoconstriction, volume overload, and neurohormonal activation.Side Effects: Common: dizziness, headache, fatigue, hypotension, electrolyte imbalances (low potassium, sodium), increased urination, peripheral edema, constipation, nausea. Serious: severe hypotension, acute kidney injury, severe electrolyte disturbances, angioedema, severe allergic reactions, gout flare, glucose intolerance.Safety Advice: Contraindicated in pregnancy, severe kidney disease, anuria, or hypersensitivity to sulfonamides. Use caution in diabetes, gout, liver disease, or electrolyte imbalances. Monitor blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolytes (potassium, sodium) regularly. May increase blood sugar and uric acid. Inform doctor of dizziness, fainting, muscle weakness, irregular heartbeat, or decreased urination. Maintain adequate hydration. Avoid potassium supplements unless prescribed.Storage: Store below 25°C in a dry place. Protect from light and moisture. Keep in original packaging. Keep out of reach of children.
