AboutGluformin XL 500 is a modified-release oral antidiabetic medicine containing Metformin. It is used with diet and exercise to help control blood glucose in Type 2 diabetes and may also be prescribed in some patients with polycystic ovary syndrome.Usage InstructionsTake with or after the evening meal, or as prescribed. Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not crush, chew or split a modified-release tablet unless the product label specifically permits it.BenefitsHelps lower blood glucose and improve insulin sensitivity when used as part of a prescribed diabetes-management plan.How it WorksMetformin reduces glucose production by the liver and improves the body’s response to insulin.
