Inderal F 10 mg Tablet 10 Tablets

Prescription drug
Manufacturer / Marketer : SOLVAY PHARMA IInd DIV.
About: Inderal F 10 Tablet contains propranolol 40 mg and flunarizine 10 mg and is used for prophylaxis of migraine attacks. It combines a beta‑blocker and a calcium channel blocker to reduce frequency and severity of migraine when taken regularly.
Usage Instructions Take the tablet exactly as prescribed, usually once daily, preferably at bedtime or as advised by the neurologist. Swallow whole with water and do not discontinue abruptly without consulting your doctor.
Benefits Helps decrease number of migraine episodes, intensity of headache and associated symptoms like nausea and sensitivity to light. The combination can be more effective than either drug alone in some patients under close monitoring.
How it Works Propranolol reduces sympathetic overactivity, cerebral blood flow fluctuations and cortical spreading depression involved in migraine. Flunarizine blocks calcium channels and stabilises vascular tone and neuronal excitability, further preventing migraine initiation.
Side Effects Common side effects include drowsiness, fatigue, slow heart rate, dizziness, weight gain, sleep disturbances and cold extremities. Seek urgent care for very slow pulse, severe shortness of breath, depression, tremors or signs of heart block.
Safety Advice Use cautiously in asthma, COPD, heart block, diabetes, depression and in the elderly. Avoid sudden withdrawal, monitor blood pressure and heart rate regularly and avoid alcohol and activities requiring alertness if drowsy.
Storage Store below 30°C in a dry place away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
