AboutItratied 200MG Capsule contains Itraconazole, a broad-spectrum triazole antifungal used to treat serious fungal infections including aspergillosis, candidiasis, blastomycosis, and dermatophyte infections.Usage Instructions: Take with a full meal or acidic beverage (e.g., cola) for optimal absorption. Swallow capsule whole with water. Do not crush or chew. Take at the same time daily. Complete full course even if symptoms improve. Capsule form: take immediately after meal.Benefits: Treats systemic fungal infections including pulmonary aspergillosis, invasive candidiasis, blastomycosis, histoplasmosis, coccidioidomycosis, sporotrichosis, onychomycosis (fungal nail infection), tinea infections, and oropharyngeal/esophageal candidiasis. Effective against azole-susceptible fungi.How it Works: Itraconazole inhibits fungal cytochrome P450-dependent enzyme 14-alpha-demethylase, blocking conversion of lanosterol to ergosterol (essential fungal membrane component). This disrupts membrane integrity, increasing permeability and causing fungal cell death.Side Effects: Common: nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, rash, elevated liver enzymes. Serious: hepatotoxicity (including liver failure), QT prolongation, congestive heart failure, peripheral neuropathy, hearing loss, severe skin reactions (SJS/TEN), adrenal insufficiency.Safety Advice: Contraindicated in congestive heart failure, ventricular dysfunction, or concomitant use with QT-prolonging drugs. Monitor liver function before and during treatment. Avoid in pregnancy. Use caution in liver or kidney disease.
