AboutKolaheal M Gel 15GM is a wound care gel containing Collagen, Metronidazole, and Mupirocin used to promote wound healing and prevent/treat infected wounds, diabetic foot ulcers, and chronic wounds.Usage Instructions: Clean wound with normal saline or antiseptic solution. Apply thin layer of gel directly to wound bed or on sterile gauze and cover wound. Change dressing once or twice daily as directed by doctor. Use until wound heals. For external use only on wounds.Benefits: Promotes wound healing and tissue regeneration, prevents and treats wound infections, reduces wound odor (metronidazole), kills bacteria (mupirocin), provides scaffold for tissue growth (collagen), manages diabetic foot ulcers, treats chronic non-healing wounds, reduces matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) activity.How it Works: Collagen provides structural scaffold and acts as 'sacrificial substrate' to reduce MMP degradation, promoting granulation tissue formation. Metronidazole kills anaerobic bacteria and reduces wound odor. Mupirocin kills gram-positive bacteria including MRSA. Combined action creates optimal wound healing environment.Side Effects: Generally well tolerated. Rare: mild local irritation, burning, or allergic reactions at wound site. Very rare: systemic absorption of antibiotics with prolonged use on large wounds.Safety Advice: For external use on wounds only. Do not use in eyes, ears, or mucous membranes. Discontinue if severe irritation or allergic reaction occurs. Not for ophthalmic use. Inform doctor of worsening wound, increased pain, or signs of spreading infection. Use with caution in pregnancy.
