AboutMartivon 20MG Tablet contains Vonoprazan 20mg, a potassium-competitive acid blocker (P-CAB) used to treat stomach ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and acid-related disorders.Usage Instructions: Take once daily at the same time, with or without food. Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew. Continue even if feeling well. Do not stop suddenly without medical advice. Take consistently at the same time daily.Benefits: Treats stomach ulcers (gastric and duodenal), treats gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), heals erosive esophagitis, prevents NSAID-induced ulcers, provides rapid and potent acid suppression (faster than PPIs), provides 24-hour acid control, suitable for H. pylori eradication therapy (in combination with antibiotics), suitable for severe or refractory GERD.How it Works: Vonoprazan is a potassium-competitive acid blocker (P-CAB) that reversibly binds to H+/K+ ATPase (proton pump) in gastric parietal cells, blocking acid secretion. More potent and faster onset than traditional PPIs. Provides sustained acid suppression with once-daily dosing. Acid suppression is dose-dependent; 20mg provides stronger acid control than 10mg.Side Effects: Common: headache, diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, vomiting, constipation, rash, elevated liver enzymes. Serious: severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis, angioedema, SJS/TEN), hepatotoxicity, hypomagnesemia with long-term use, vitamin B12 deficiency, increased risk of infections (C. difficile, pneumonia), bone fractures with long-term use, fundic gland polyps.Safety Advice: Monitor for signs of liver problems (jaundice, dark urine, severe fatigue, right upper quadrant pain). Long-term use may increase fracture risk and cause nutrient deficiencies (magnesium, B12, calcium). Inform doctor of persistent diarrhea, severe abdominal pain, signs of allergic reaction, or muscle cramps/weakness. Not for use in pregnancy or breastfeeding unless essential. Use caution in severe hepatic impairment. May mask symptoms of gastric malignancy.Storage: Store below 25°C in a dry place. Protect from light and moisture. Keep in original packaging. Keep out of reach of children. Do not remove from blister until ready to use.
