MMF-S Tablet 15's

Prescription drug
Manufacturer / Marketer : IPCA - ACTIVA
About: MMF-S Tablet is an immunosuppressant containing mycophenolate sodium used, along with other agents, to prevent organ transplant rejection in kidney, heart, or liver transplant recipients.[] Usage Instructions: Take the tablet orally on an empty stomach or as directed by the transplant physician, at evenly spaced intervals to maintain consistent blood levels; swallow whole without crushing. Benefits: Helps reduce the risk of acute and chronic rejection episodes and supports long-term graft survival when used as part of a standard immunosuppressive regimen.[] How it Works: Mycophenolate sodium inhibits inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase in lymphocytes, reducing purine synthesis and thereby suppressing T- and B-cell proliferation and antibody formation.[] Side Effects: Common side effects include diarrhoea, abdominal pain, infections, leukopenia, or hypertension; long-term use increases risk of serious infections and certain malignancies.[] Safety Advice: Use only under specialist supervision; regular blood counts and organ function tests are needed, and effective contraception is essential due to teratogenic risk.
Storage: Store below 25°C in a dry place, protected from light and moisture; keep out of reach of children.
