AboutMonoferric contains ferric derisomaltose 1000mg/10ml, an intravenous iron replacement product used to treat iron deficiency anemia in adults when oral iron is ineffective or not tolerated. It allows rapid, high-dose iron repletion in a single infusion.Usage InstructionsAdministered by healthcare professional as intravenous infusion. For patients ≥50kg: single dose of 1000mg (10ml) over at least 20 minutes. For patients <50kg: dose calculated by body weight. Monitor for hypersensitivity during and after infusion. Rare: severe hypersensitivity, severe hypotension, or iron overload.Safety AdviceAdminister only by trained healthcare personnel with resuscitation facilities available. Monitor for hypersensitivity during and for 30 minutes after infusion. Test dose may be given before full dose. Use caution in patients with asthma, eczema, or multiple allergies.
