AboutMycolon SR Capsule contains Mebeverine 200mg, an antispasmodic medication used to treat irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and relieve abdominal pain, cramps, and spasms.Usage Instructions: Take one capsule once or twice daily as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew (sustained release). May be taken with or without food. Take consistently at the same time(s) daily. Continue for prescribed duration.Benefits: Relieves abdominal pain and cramps in IBS, reduces intestinal spasms, treats bloating and discomfort, manages irritable colon and spastic constipation, improves bowel function, reduces colicky abdominal pain, provides sustained relief with once or twice daily dosing.How it Works: Mebeverine is a musculotropic antispasmodic that acts directly on smooth muscle in the gastrointestinal tract. It blocks sodium channels and calcium influx, relaxing intestinal smooth muscle without affecting normal gut motility. Provides targeted relief of spasms and pain.Side Effects: Generally well tolerated. Rare: nausea, headache, dizziness, constipation, allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling). Very rare: severe allergic reactions (angioedema, anaphylaxis).Safety Advice: Use caution in severe liver or kidney disease. Not for use in paralytic ileus. Inform doctor of persistent symptoms, severe allergic reactions, or worsening condition. Safe in pregnancy if prescribed.
