About
Olfi POD is a prescription antibiotic tablet combining the cephalosporin cefpodoxime with ofloxacin. It is used for bacterial infections of the respiratory tract, urinary tract, ear, throat and gut, as decided by a doctor.

Usage Instructions
Take one tablet twice daily, or as prescribed, after food with water. Complete the full course of treatment.

Benefits
• Dual antibiotic action against many bacteria
• Helps treat mixed or resistant infections
• Convenient fixed-dose combination

How it Works
The two antibiotics attack bacteria in different ways: the cephalosporin weakens the bacterial cell wall, while ofloxacin blocks enzymes bacteria need to copy their DNA.

Side Effects
Nausea, diarrhoea, stomach pain, headache, dizziness, rash. Rare: tendon pain, severe diarrhoea, allergic reactions, mood or sleep changes.

Safety Advice
Do not use if allergic to penicillins, cephalosporins or quinolones. Keep a 2 hour gap from antacids, iron and calcium. Use caution in epilepsy, kidney disease, pregnancy and breastfeeding, and in children unless prescribed. Protect skin from strong sunlight.
This is a prescription medicine. Use only on the advice of a registered medical practitioner.

Storage
Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
