AboutOpin 10MG Tablet contains Amlodipine 10mg, a long-acting calcium channel blocker used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and chronic stable angina.Usage Instructions: Take once daily at the same time, with or without food. Swallow tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew. Continue even if feeling well. Do not stop suddenly without medical advice. May take 1-2 weeks for full blood pressure effect.Benefits: Effectively lowers high blood pressure, reduces risk of stroke and cardiovascular events, treats chronic stable angina and vasospastic angina (Prinzmetal's), improves exercise tolerance, provides 24-hour blood pressure control, suitable for once-daily dosing.How it Works: Amlodipine selectively inhibits L-type voltage-gated calcium channels in vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscle, preventing calcium influx during depolarization. This causes peripheral arterial vasodilation, reducing systemic vascular resistance and blood pressure. Also dilates coronary arteries, improving myocardial oxygen supply.Side Effects: Common: peripheral edema (ankle/foot swelling), headache, dizziness, flushing, fatigue, palpitations, nausea, abdominal pain. Serious: severe hypotension, myocardial infarction (rare), arrhythmias, gingival hyperplasia, hepatotoxicity, severe allergic reactions, Stevens-Johnson syndrome.Safety Advice: Use caution in elderly, liver disease, heart failure, or aortic stenosis. May cause dizziness; avoid driving initially. Monitor blood pressure and heart rate regularly. Inform doctor of chest pain, irregular heartbeat, severe dizziness, or swelling. Grapefruit juice may increase drug levels. Not for use in pregnancy or breastfeeding. Do not discontinue abruptly.Storage: Store below 25°C in a dry place. Protect from light and moisture.
