About: Optiviral Eye Ointment contains Acyclovir 3%, an antiviral ointment for treating herpes simplex eye infections.Usage Instructions: Apply thin ribbon (about 1cm) inside lower eyelid 5 times daily (every 4 hours) for 7-10 days. Continue for 3 days after healing. Wash hands before and after use.Benefits: Treats herpes simplex keratitis, prevents viral replication, reduces healing time, treats dendritic ulcers, prevents recurrence.How it Works: Acyclovir inhibits viral DNA polymerase, preventing herpes simplex virus replication in corneal and conjunctival tissues.Side Effects: Temporary blurred vision, stinging, irritation, superficial punctate keratopathy, rare: allergic reactions, corneal toxicity.Safety Advice: For ophthalmic use only.
