PAN 20mg Tablet 15's
Prescription drug
About: PAN 20mg Tablet 15's is an antacid and anti-ulcer medicine containing pantoprazole 20 mg, used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, and acidity-related symptoms such as heartburn and acid reflux.
Usage Instructions: Take one tablet once daily (or as prescribed), preferably before food, swallowed whole with water without crushing or chewing.
Benefits: Reduces stomach acid secretion, helps heal gastric and duodenal ulcers, relieves heartburn and regurgitation, and prevents relapse of acid-related disorders when used regularly as directed.
How it Works: Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that irreversibly blocks the H+K+ATPase proton pump in gastric parietal cells, thereby markedly decreasing gastric acid production.
Side Effects: Common side effects include headache, diarrhoea, nausea, abdominal pain, flatulence, or constipation; long-term high-dose use may influence vitamin B12, magnesium, and bone health.
Safety Advice: Use under medical supervision in patients with liver disease, long-term NSAID use, or osteoporosis risk, and inform your doctor about concomitant medicines such as warfarin, methotrexate, or certain antifungals.
Storage: Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from moisture and direct sunlight, and keep out of reach of children.
