PAN D Capsule 15 Capsules
Prescription drug
About:
PAN D Capsule is a fixed‑dose combination of pantoprazole and domperidone used to treat gastro‑oesophageal reflux disease with associated nausea, vomiting or fullness. It helps reduce acidity and improves gastric motility, providing relief from heartburn, bloating and reflux symptoms.
Usage Instructions Take the capsule 30–60 minutes before meals, usually once daily or as directed by your doctor. Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew the capsule.
Benefits Pantoprazole component lowers stomach acid while domperidone improves gastric emptying and reduces nausea. The combination provides better symptom relief in patients with reflux associated with dyspepsia and delayed gastric emptying.
How it Works Pantoprazole inhibits the gastric proton pump to suppress acid secretion, whereas domperidone blocks dopamine receptors in the gut, enhancing gastric motility and increasing lower oesophageal sphincter tone. This dual action controls both acidity and reflux‑related nausea and fullness.
Side Effects Common side effects include dry mouth, headache, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, dizziness and sometimes breast tenderness or menstrual irregularities with prolonged domperidone use. Serious but rare effects include cardiac arrhythmias or QT prolongation; seek immediate care for palpitations, fainting or severe dizziness.
Safety Advice Use with caution in patients with heart disease, electrolyte disturbances or moderate to severe liver impairment, and avoid concurrent QT‑prolonging drugs unless supervised. Do not use domperidone‑containing medicines for prolonged periods or at higher doses than prescribed.
Storage Store below 30°C in a dry place away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep the strip out of reach of children.
