AboutPhacovisc PFS is an ophthalmic viscosurgical device (OVD) containing Sodium Hyaluronate for use during cataract and other intraocular surgeries.Usage Instructions: For intraocular use by ophthalmic surgeon only. Inject into anterior chamber during surgery to maintain space and protect ocular tissues. Remove at end of procedure.Benefits: Maintains anterior chamber space, protects corneal endothelium, facilitates surgical maneuvers, provides tissue cushioning, enhances surgical safety.How it Works: Sodium hyaluronate is high molecular weight polysaccharide with viscoelastic properties. Provides space maintenance, tissue protection, and lubrication during intraocular procedures.Side Effects: Transient intraocular pressure elevation, rare: inflammatory reactions, corneal edema, endophthalmitis if contaminated.Safety Advice: For single-use only. Use aseptic technique. Do not use if solution is cloudy or container is damaged. Remove thoroughly at end of surgery to prevent IOP spike.Storage: Store below 30°C or refrigerate (2-8°C). Do not freeze. Protect from light. Use immediately after opening. Check expiry before use.
