AboutPteron A 625 Tablet is a combination antibiotic containing Amoxycillin 500mg and Clavulanic Acid 125mg used to treat various bacterial infections of the respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin, and soft tissues.Usage Instructions: Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually 2-3 times daily with food. Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew. Take with food to reduce stomach upset and improve absorption. Complete full course even if symptoms improve. Do not skip doses to prevent resistance.Benefits: Treats bacterial infections including sinusitis, otitis media, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, dental infections. Effective against beta-lactamase producing bacteria. Broad-spectrum coverage against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.How it Works: Amoxycillin inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), leading to cell wall instability and bacterial cell death (bactericidal). Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that inactivates bacterial enzymes that would otherwise destroy amoxycillin, extending its spectrum of activity against resistant bacteria.Side Effects: Common: diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, rash, headache, vaginal yeast infection. Serious: severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis), Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, liver dysfunction, blood disorders, seizures (in renal impairment).Safety Advice: Inform doctor of penicillin or cephalosporin allergy. Use caution in kidney disease (dose adjustment may be needed). Complete full course to prevent resistance. May cause dizziness; use caution when driving. Not effective against viral infections. Inform doctor of severe diarrhea, rash, or signs of allergic reaction. Safe in pregnancy if prescribed. Take with food to reduce GI upset.Storage: Store below 25°C in a dry place. Protect from light and moisture. Keep in original packaging. Keep out of reach of children.
