Quicnac 600 Tablets 10's
Prescription drug
About: Quicnac 600 Tablet is an effervescent or dispersible tablet containing N‑acetylcysteine 600 mg, commonly used as a mucolytic to thin thick mucus in conditions like bronchitis, COPD and other respiratory illnesses, and as an antioxidant in selected indications.
Usage Instructions: Dissolve the tablet in a glass of water as directed on the pack or by your doctor, wait until it is fully dispersed, then drink the solution immediately; follow the prescribed dose and duration.
Benefits: By loosening sticky phlegm, it helps clear the airways, makes coughing more productive and can relieve chest congestion, improving breathing comfort; its antioxidant action can also help protect tissues from oxidative damage in certain settings.
How it Works: N‑acetylcysteine breaks disulfide bonds in mucus glycoproteins, making secretions less viscous and easier to expectorate, and also replenishes glutathione stores, an important antioxidant in the body.
Side Effects: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach discomfort, unpleasant taste or mild rash may occur; bronchospasm or severe allergic reactions are rare but require immediate medical care.
Safety Advice: Use with caution in patients with asthma or a history of bronchospasm, and inform your doctor about peptic ulcer disease or liver problems; do not combine with antitussives that suppress cough without medical advice.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, tightly closed in the original tube or strip, away from moisture and heat, and keep out of reach of children.
