About:
Reclimet Tablet 15's is an oral anti‑diabetic fixed-dose combination used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet, exercise, and single‑drug therapy are inadequate.[]
Usage Instructions: Take the tablet with meals, usually once or twice daily as advised, to reduce gastrointestinal side effects and risk of hypoglycaemia.
Benefits: Helps control fasting and post‑meal blood glucose levels and reduces long‑term diabetes‑related complications when combined with lifestyle measures.[]
How it Works: Metformin decreases hepatic glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity, while gliclazide (sulfonylurea) increases insulin secretion from pancreatic beta cells, together improving glycaemic control.[]
Side Effects: Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach pain, and risk of low blood sugar, especially with missed meals or overdose.[]
Safety Advice: Contraindicated in severe kidney or liver disease and diabetic ketoacidosis; regular monitoring of blood glucose and renal function is recommended.[]
Storage: Store at room temperature below 25°C, protected from moisture and direct sunlight.
