AboutRedikart Tablet contains Isotretinoin, a potent oral retinoid used to treat severe recalcitrant nodular acne and other severe acne resistant to conventional therapy.Usage Instructions: Take exactly as prescribed by your dermatologist, usually once or twice daily with meals. Swallow whole with a full glass of water. Do not crush, chew, or split. Take with food to enhance absorption. Complete full course (typically 15-20 weeks). Do not exceed prescribed dose.Benefits: Highly effective for severe nodular acne, cystic acne, and acne resistant to oral antibiotics. Reduces sebum production, normalizes follicular keratinization, decreases Cutibacterium acnes colonization, and has anti-inflammatory effects. Provides long-term remission in many patients.How it Works: Isotretinoin (13-cis-retinoic acid) binds to nuclear retinoic acid receptors (RARs), modulating gene expression. Reduces sebaceous gland size and sebum production by 70-90%, normalizes desquamation, prevents microcomedone formation, and exhibits anti-inflammatory properties.Side Effects: Very common: dry lips (cheilitis), dry skin, dry eyes, nosebleeds, photosensitivity, muscle/joint pain, elevated triglycerides and liver enzymes. Serious: teratogenicity (severe birth defects), depression/suicidal ideation, inflammatory bowel disease, pancreatitis, hepatotoxicity, intracranial hypertension, severe skin reactions, vision changes.Safety Advice: Absolutely contraindicated in pregnancy (Category X). Two reliable forms of contraception required 1 month before, during, and 1 month after treatment. Monthly pregnancy tests mandatory. Avoid vitamin A supplements. Monitor lipids and liver function. Do not donate blood during and 1 month after treatment. Avoid waxing, dermabrasion, and laser procedures. Report mood changes, severe headache, vision changes, or severe abdominal pain immediately. Not for mild or moderate acne.Storage: Store below 25°C in a dry place. Protect from light and moisture. Keep in original packaging. Keep out of reach of children.
