Seroflo 125 Inhaler

Seroflo 125 Inhaler

Prescription drug
Manufacturer / Marketer : CIPLA RESPIRATORY - I
About: Seroflo 125 Inhaler is a combination inhaler used for maintenance treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), containing fluticasone propionate and salmeterol.
Usage Instructions: Use the inhaler exactly as prescribed, typically one or two puffs twice daily, following correct inhalation technique (shake, exhale, inhale deeply while actuating, hold breath) and rinse mouth after use to reduce risk of oral thrush.
Benefits: Helps prevent asthma attacks, reduces symptoms such as wheeze and breathlessness, improves lung function, and decreases exacerbations with regular maintenance therapy.
How it Works: Fluticasone propionate is an inhaled corticosteroid that reduces airway inflammation, while salmeterol is a long-acting beta-2 agonist that relaxes bronchial smooth muscle and keeps airways open for extended periods.
Side Effects: Common side effects include sore throat, cough, hoarseness, headache, tremor, and oral candidiasis; serious effects such as paradoxical bronchospasm or systemic steroid effects need urgent medical attention.
Safety Advice: Not intended for acute asthma attacks; use a rescue inhaler for sudden symptoms, and use cautiously in patients with heart disease, diabetes, infections, or osteoporosis under medical supervision.
Storage: Store below 30°C away from direct heat and sunlight, do not puncture or incinerate the canister, and keep out of reach of children.
