Sibelium 10 mg Tablet 30 Tablets

Prescription drug
Manufacturer / Marketer : J & J MASS MARKET
Composition : Flunarizine 10 mg
About: Sibelium 10 mg Tablet contains flunarizine 10 mg, a calcium channel blocker used mainly for prophylaxis of migraine and sometimes in vertigo of vestibular origin as prescribed. It is not for immediate relief of an acute attack but for long‑term prevention under medical supervision.
Usage Instructions Take the tablet at bedtime or as directed by your neurologist, usually once daily. Swallow whole with water and do not abruptly stop treatment without consulting your doctor.
Benefits Reduces frequency and severity of migraine attacks and may improve vertigo symptoms over time, improving daily functioning. Night‑time dosing can minimise daytime drowsiness.
How it Works Flunarizine blocks calcium influx in vascular smooth muscle and neuronal cells, stabilising blood vessel tone and reducing vasospasm implicated in migraine. It also has antihistaminic and vestibular suppressant actions, which can benefit vertigo.
Side Effects Common side effects include drowsiness, weight gain, increased appetite, dry mouth and fatigue. Long‑term use may rarely lead to depression, parkinsonism or extrapyramidal symptoms; report mood changes, tremors or stiffness promptly.
Safety Advice Use with caution in patients with depression, Parkinson’s disease or other extrapyramidal disorders and in the elderly. Avoid alcohol and activities requiring alertness until individual response is known.
Storage Store below 30°C in a dry place away from light and moisture. Keep in original blister and away from children.
