AboutSitaverse M 100/1000 Tablet is a combination of Sitagliptin 100mg and Metformin 1000mg used to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus inadequately controlled on metformin monotherapy.Usage Instructions: Take twice daily with meals, or as directed by your doctor. Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew (extended release). Take consistently at the same time(s) daily with food to reduce GI upset. Individualize dose based on glycemic response and tolerability.Benefits: Improves glycemic control in type 2 diabetes, lowers fasting and postprandial blood glucose, reduces HbA1c by 1.5-2.5%, enhances glucose-dependent insulin secretion (sitagliptin), improves insulin sensitivity (metformin), reduces hepatic glucose production, low risk of hypoglycemia, weight neutral or modest weight loss, delays diabetes complications, once-daily or twice-daily dosing improves compliance.How it Works: Sitagliptin inhibits DPP-4 enzyme, increasing incretin hormones (GLP-1, GIP) which stimulate glucose-dependent insulin release and suppress glucagon. Metformin decreases hepatic glucose production, reduces intestinal glucose absorption, and improves peripheral insulin sensitivity. Together they provide complementary glucose-lowering mechanisms.Side Effects: Common: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, metallic taste, headache, upper respiratory infection, nasopharyngitis. Serious: lactic acidosis (rare), pancreatitis, severe allergic reactions, vitamin B12 deficiency with long-term use.Safety Advice: Monitor blood glucose and kidney function regularly. Temporarily discontinue before surgery, prolonged fasting, or iodinated contrast procedures. Avoid excessive alcohol. Use caution in kidney disease. Not for type 1 diabetes or DKA. Inform doctor of severe abdominal pain, persistent nausea/vomiting, or unusual fatigue. Supplement vitamin B12 if deficient.Storage: Store below 25°C in a dry place. Protect from light and moisture.
