AboutSORIBAN Oral Solution contains Psoralen (8-MOP/Methoxsalen), a photosensitizing agent used with UV light therapy (PUVA) for treating psoriasis and other skin conditions.Usage Instructions: Take as prescribed, usually 2 hours before UV light exposure. Measure dose accurately. Avoid sunlight for 24 hours after dosing. Wear UV-protective sunglasses.Benefits: Treats psoriasis, enhances PUVA therapy effectiveness, clears skin lesions, reduces scaling, treats vitiligo, photochemotherapy.How it Works: Psoralen intercalates into DNA; upon UVA exposure, forms cross-links inhibiting DNA synthesis and reducing rapid skin cell proliferation.Side Effects: Nausea, vomiting, photosensitivity, burning sensation, pruritus, hyperpigmentation, increased skin cancer risk (long-term), cataracts.Safety Advice: Avoid sunlight for 24 hours after dosing.
