About: Sucrafil O Gel 200ml is an oral suspension containing sucralfate and oxetacaine, used to relieve acidity, heartburn, and pain associated with gastric and duodenal ulcers.
Usage Instructions: Take the prescribed dose using the measuring cup, usually before meals and at bedtime, and avoid taking other medicines within a gap of at least 2 hours unless advised.
Benefits: Forms a protective barrier over ulcerated or inflamed mucosa, relieves burning and pain, and supports healing of ulcers and erosions in the upper gastrointestinal tract.
How it Works: Sucralfate coats the ulcer surface and shields it from stomach acid, pepsin, and bile salts, while oxetacaine provides local anaesthetic action to reduce pain and discomfort.
Side Effects: Possible side effects include constipation, dry mouth, nausea, or mild dizziness; severe or persistent symptoms should be discussed with a doctor.
Safety Advice: Use with caution in kidney impairment and in patients on other oral drugs due to potential binding; pregnant or breastfeeding women should take it only on medical advice.
Storage: Store below 30°C, protected from light and moisture, and keep the bottle tightly closed and out of reach of children.
