Manufacturer / Marketer : LA PRISTINE SPLTY
About: Tacmod Forte 0.1% Ointment 30gm is a topical immunosuppressant used to manage moderate to severe atopic dermatitis (eczema) and other steroid‑refractory inflammatory skin conditions.[]
Usage Instructions: Apply a thin layer of the ointment to the affected skin twice daily or as advised by the dermatologist, on clean and dry skin; do not apply under occlusion unless directed.
Benefits: Helps reduce persistent redness, itching, and thickening of skin lesions in chronic eczema where topical corticosteroids are unsuitable or ineffective.[]
How it Works: Tacrolimus inhibits T‑cell activation and the release of pro‑inflammatory cytokines, thereby suppressing abnormal immune responses in the skin and reducing inflammation.[]
Side Effects: Patients may experience burning, warmth, or itching at the application site initially; rarely, skin infections or local irritation can occur and require medical attention.
Safety Advice: Avoid prolonged continuous use and excessive sun exposure on treated areas; not recommended for use in immunocompromised patients unless specifically monitored by a physician.
Storage: Store at room temperature away from excessive heat and moisture; keep the tube tightly closed and out of reach of children.
