AboutTrezlac Capsule contains Lacidipine, a calcium channel blocker used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and manage cardiovascular risk.Usage Instructions: Take once daily at the same time, preferably in the morning. Swallow capsule whole with water; do not crush or chew. May be taken with or without food, but take consistently. Continue even if feeling well. Do not stop suddenly without medical advice.Benefits: Effectively lowers high blood pressure, reduces risk of stroke, heart attack, and cardiovascular events, improves blood flow, protects blood vessels, manages essential hypertension and angina. Provides 24-hour blood pressure control with once-daily dosing.How it Works: Lacidipine selectively blocks L-type voltage-gated calcium channels in vascular smooth muscle cells, preventing calcium influx. This causes vasodilation (relaxation of blood vessels), reducing peripheral vascular resistance and lowering blood pressure. Highly lipophilic with slow onset and long duration of action.Side Effects: Common: headache, dizziness, flushing, peripheral edema (ankle swelling), palpitations, fatigue, nausea. Serious: severe hypotension, angina exacerbation, myocardial infarction (rare), arrhythmias, gingival hyperplasia, severe allergic reactions, liver dysfunction.Safety Advice: Use caution in elderly, liver disease, or heart failure. May cause dizziness; avoid driving initially. Avoid grapefruit juice (increases drug levels). Monitor blood pressure regularly. Inform doctor of chest pain, irregular heartbeat, severe dizziness, or swelling. Not for use in pregnancy or breastfeeding.
